I was thinking this morning that &quot;surfeit&quot; wasn&#039;t the right antonym for &quot;dearth&quot;, and now I&#039;ve remembered the word I wanted to recommend: &quot;plethora&quot;.  Whereas &quot;surfeit&quot; suggests an excess, &quot;plethora&quot; just suggests an abundance.</description>
